Silver Fennel was a two-day durational performance involving butoh-based movement, live music, and a continuously changing installation made of suspended dried plants and flowers, expanded upon and reworked as a continuation from the May 2nd, 2019 performance with Tatsuya Nakatani.

On both days, the piece began at noon and ended at eight. During the first seven hours of the first day, Joey and Katrina continuously practiced repetitive tasks of full-body presence to prepare and transform the installation. The tasks varied from moving and organizing piles of raw plant material, to meticulously categorizing and deconstructing each part of a flower. Then in the eighth hour, they directed this cultivated presence into a final performance of movement, sound, and deep interactivity with the installation.

On the second day from noon to eight, Katrina danced amongst and interacted with the remains of the installation, andJoey played various instruments, blending and contrasting them with sounds of the remnants of organic materials.
